Al-Quds in Ramadan

Al-Quds – Jerusalem is one of the main issues that Palestinian fight for, It’s the Palestinian capital. Israelis always mention that it is theirs; now it is divided into East- West Jerusalem under the Israeli controlling. However, If you want to enter Al-Quds then you need to be silent and calm because they are a lot of Isralei Check-points .

here is a map showing you the access to Jerusalem – Al-quds :

Finally to Al-Quds

entrance  Al-Quds is not easy thing but it could be possible for those who are able to apply for a permission  to the ” Israeli side” . The thing is different in #Ramadan Month because people who are okay with security procedures , are able to apply for 30 days permission and everyone is allowed to enter on Fridays. However, other aspects are found when we talk about Al-Quds and Ramadan. The commercial sides for the Israelis seem good because Palestinians pay a lot when they buy their things. That’s how people talk and address this point but they don’t care about that as long as they are practicing their religion rites.

I visited the old city of Hebron and it was active, full of products and people who were going to Al-Ibrahimi Mosque. The road from the first square to the #Israeli Check point took almost 20 minutes walking. There, you will find different markets with different products. #Palestinian #Food is available; #Falafel, #Shawaema #arabic #Bread, and other kinds. food is not the only thing you can find but you will see clothes shops and electronic materials. What make you amazed is the elders who still working there despite the fact of the danger situations in the old city. The old city of Hebron #suffers the Israeli controlling over it and over the Mosque. People said that they are consisting to stay in the old city because they want to protect it and to keep its houses and markets with the Palestinians. Nowadays, many Palestinians were killed by Israeli soldiers  before the last checkpoint in the city during  the recent #Intifada .
